Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)

I have IC now for 2 years. I had 2 UTI for nearly 3 weeks, the ony UTI of my entire life and ever since I have had IC. I take Cystoprotek, DS Aloe Vera, Tofranil, FlaxSeed Oil Capsules, Prelief, and Lyrica. I drink baking soda from time to time. This is the hardest illness or encounter I have ever had in my life. I am about to begin Elmiron and am praying it helps.

Treatments

Baking Soda Working / Worked

It surely does help when I am having a bad flare. I hate to drink it, I feel it is unhealthy but with desperation I choose to drink it atleast 1 per week when I flare.

Bladder Distention Working / Worked

Did not work. Made the pain horrific.

Bladder Instillation Working / Worked

Did not work, made matters worse. Mine was a RIMSO instill.

Lyrica Working / Worked

Helps tremendously with the burning pain.

Tofranil Working / Worked

Works for the constant urination at night.
