Close Breakups & Divorce
married 8 years and have 3 children. I had an affair for 2 1/2 months that ended in NOV 08. During this same time, (and recently just found out they became emotionally attached in summer 2008) my wife became attached to one of her close "girl" friends and a week after I told her about what I had done my wife has come out and said that she wants a divorce because she believes she is "in love" with the OW and is emotionally closer to her.

- It has worked on years past, but now that I have hurt my wife, there is no more trust and she wants a divorce.

- yes, I have a counselor that I see and also have issues with bi-polar.

Close Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed BP in Jan of 2008 and in leading up to Jan 2006 was going thru depression & prescribed effexor for the symptoms. I have 3 wonderful children and my wife of 8 years filed for divorce last Nov 2008, with divorce being final the 13th of April 2009

- yes it has helped me
Open Alcoholism
drinking to self medicate, plus being on meds for bi-polar, not a good mix. Going out instead of staying home caused problems in our marriage, one of the reasons my wife filed for divorce.

- going well, I did set a goal.
- Willpower Working / Worked
- mind over matter....calling brother for support when feeling weak.
