About Me
I am 26 years old, have had arthritis in my knees since I was 15 and fibromyalgia for the last few years. I have joint and mucsle pain all over my body, and walk with a cane. I'm very life weary, as I take about 8 pills a day and feel way too tired of it all. I'm hoping for support, to talk to people going through the same things and advice.

Hi and a hug back. I came to the computer just now to turn it off and get the ipod out... I can't sleep without the ipod, I'm addicted to books on tape, even though I fall asleep after the first chapter, and hear the same part sometimes 10 nights in a row, lol. I read your diary and have my thinking cap on for you. This isn't right that you have to first of all get hurt at work, listen to that idiot doctor, and then wait for surgery. I'm really thinking you're in a good spot now because you're injured and they have responsibility for you. But I'm naive sometimes and know the world doesn't always work the way it should. I'll put in a call to my daughter tomorrow. She does HR and knows the in-s and outs of WC and all that. if there's something you can do, she'll know it and will help. one other thing, about the pain meds. I'm sorry to hear the doctor is such a dunce. Doctors are just super cautious because of lawsuits, so please ask for a specialist under W/C and get pain relief. And if that doctor would look under DS, he'd find out that being an addict and being addicted to a pain killer aren't the same thing. GRRR on him the dope. So we'll be thinking of you and I'll write tomorrow to see how you're doing.

Hello Rebbecca... thank you for the great help.... you're computer saavy for sure, a great asset today because we all love our computers, but computers sometimes don't love us. How's it today out your way? We're having a freezing cold day in NJ and think we'll just hang in the house in pjs til later when we HAVE to to out.

Superhero Status
Hi Rebbecca... I just finished reading your journal and see you have and still are going thru so much, and so young. Please keep trying different doctors, just like anything, one will always be better than the next. Stick with DS too, look up the medicines you're taking and see if they're making you better, or you need more meds to overcome their side effects. So a million hugs, I'll be here for you, and know DS'ers will too.

I am 26, have had arthritis in my knees since I was 15. I have had 2 surgeries on both knees seperately, 1 ended up with a staph infection and now I walk with a cane or ride in my wheelchair.

- Anti-Inflammatory Diet Not Working
- Glucosamine/Chondroitin Considering
- Ibuprofen Not Working
- Naproxen Not Working
- Surgery, Knee Replacement Not Working
- All 4 surgeries only made my knees worse.
- Swimming Somewhat Helpful

- Helps when it gets to be too much but I now take 200mg each dose about 23 times a day.
