    • Hug

      From LisaElaine October 15

This is my very first entry, I just want you to know my prayers are with you. My best friend was just diagnosed last week, the pet scan showed it was in her brain. I am trying to be strong for her, but this is killing me thinking of what goes through her mind. Just wanted you to know, you are not alone.

      From WETRIPP October 2

My mom was just recently diagnosed .... lung cancer ... she's 88 and the docs told her that there is nothing that they can do. Plus she just fell on Wednesday eve breaking her femur.

Are you alone except for your mother? I live alone and can just imagine how you must be feeling. I suffer from a new undiagnosed illness with no treatment or help from the doctors. I have been self medicating with animal medication amd it is working!
I have only made one friend on here and she has been so comforting I hope that we can become friends as well? It really has helped me.

    • Good Luck

      From Belcat October 2

      Happy October, Fern.
I did not know it has been that long since last you wrote.
I am doing okay. I did have another heart scare after the 2nd MUGA failed to show true condition of the heart. I had to have an echocardiogram. From now on the Clearfield cancer center will use them instead of the MUGA scans (complete waste of time and money). Anyway the echo showed heart is okay and the Herceptin resumes on the 8th.
So far the radiation treatments are okay. I did hurt my tailbone getting off the table on Monday. Now I have to tell them to move the 'butt-bar' before I get off the thing.
Well, I'm glad you are back home in one piece, so to speak. Good luck with those tests.

    • Close Caring For Aging Parents

I am currently taking care of my 87 year old mother. I have always taken care of her. I am blessed because she was always a good mother. Always doing the best she could. She was always there when you needed her. She does have some dementia but takes medication for it, She was very ill in April. She was in a different state then I was. So, when she got sick I packed my bags for what I thought would be a weekend visit to make sure she was alright. This turned into a

    • Close Lung Cancer

In December I hads a cat scan and was told I have an 8mm nodule on my left lung. It is the size of pea. It did not show up on an x-ray. The ironic thing is, they weren't even looking for it. I just so happened to show on the scan. I now have to have another scan done in March. I have found that I am just full of anxiety. I have never had any anxiety problems until this. Does anyone know anything about an 8mm nogule? My doctor says as long as it is under 1 cm. Thanks
