In-laws, aren't they the best!?! LOL, NOT for me, but I am really trying to make ammends and find peace between us all. I don't want to keep tearing up my husbands heart. I know he feels stuck in the middle of it all, and that isn't fair at all. His younger sister got married this last weekend, and I was very cordial to them all. His mother got so drunk, it was ridiculous!!! I was like have a little grace! His sister has a 9 month old who she didn't even pay any attention to the whole night, not a hug or even held her. SO that was frustrating. Plus she got drunk on top of it, when she is still breastfeeding her. I hope she pumped enough so they don't have to worry about that.
I guess it is just hard for me, cause they act so much better than everyone else, but in the truth of the matter they are just as messed up as anyone else. His mom and sister had to go to a looney farm bout 5 years ago, if that doesn't wave a flag I don't know what will!
I keep praying for grace, and to see them the way God see's them. He loves them the same as me, and I need to remember that when I get so angry at them for there childish ways!

ugh...I'm right there with you. My in-laws drive me absolutely crazy, especially MIL. We have gone months without talking, but have recently somewhat made amends....I, for my husband's sake. It is tough though, and mine sound very similar to yours. I will be thinking about you :) *hugs*

My in-laws are wonderful - it's my own family that are rubbish. Mum and dad are brilliant, but I've got 6 brothers and 2 sisters and not one of them is in touch. I learnt to deal with it years ago, but it makes me very sad sometimes

I bet it does hurt, suey2y! Its so hard to see how familys are at times! I wish I could say growing up our family was super close, but that has never been in my cards. I see my family enough but sometimes I want more than I get. Well hang in there, Maybe they will come around some day. Forgiving is the best part and the hardest part. It sets you free once you truely forgive, I haven't overcome that obstacle yet!
