these guys come out to your house and make a decision on the needs you may have.
so i'm waiting to find out if i can get into detox.
i could have went to emergency room .
but if everything works out i will straight to detox.

after being tied up on the inside,
i took a pretty big step.
that is i made an appointment at a substance abuse clinic.
i have been in treatment with this place before,
but i let my false security take charge.
it let me stray from the path of being sober, today i say no more.
i want what others have a life without distortions, no mind altering drugs .
illicit drugs or alcohol.
i feel as if a huge weight has lifted from my chest.

im happy for you and think you'll do well.keep ur willingness and openmindedness for change.life free of drugs and alcohol has been very good for me..reality has become good to me..one thing about escape no matter how far u go..u eventually come back 2 the same place u were trying 2 get from..thats why i chose change..a permanent escape.

I don't blame you for not going to the hospital. Lot's of flu this time of the year. I have never heard of units that come to your house when your in trouble. I think that's great!! I know waiting is one ofthe most difficult things i have to do. So I'm with you in spirit and hope you can find a comfort zone inside your head where you can wait as patiently as possible.

Hang in the Patrick. It's hard to break any habit at first but once you get where you are going, you will find those things discusting, you will remember all the negative stuff as I remember all the negative things associated with drugs as i was a child... too many premature life expectancy issues among others... you can do it. have you listed your reasn why you want to stop? i think it's a good idea man.
