Good things about having cancer Mood
Tuesday, December 16, 2008 | A General Update story
Last year I was sick after my November surgery and was bed-bound until April.  Yesterday and today are terribly cold so I started thinking about the fact that I entirely missed winter last year (and that was nice).  I also couldn't shop for Christmas (I have a huge family and shopping becomes a chore each year).  Plus both the chemo and the surgery converged to make me lose my appetite and not eat much so I've lost 25 lbs.  I've adopted a new diet and have kept off all the weight.

I think I have found the 25lbs you lost!!! I put on loads with the steroids that came with the chemo. What sort of a diet are you on? xxx

I am so happy for you that you can enjoy yourself this christmas season. I have been thinking back to last year and I wasn't well either and what a blessing to be able to do the things we can now. Big hugs.....Beth
