    Dear Janet
I just returned from my 11 hr day which wasn`t as bad as I thought.I forewarned my chemo nurse to look at my past visits to find a chemo nurse who had the ability to access a vein without violating the "3 stick rule". However, she couldn`t find one and did it herself in, the underside of my left arm, a place that has never been used before. Already I`m feeling the effects of nausea that are only remedied by keeping my stomach full, go figure...I already have an email into the oncologist`s office to call me tomorrow with the CA 125 levels. I`ll have 2 sleepless nights and should be relatively okay on Wednesday.Hope you have a great week.
    xxLinda

    Dear Janet
My day began with the 6:30AM bus ride, 20 block walk, bloodwork, doctor`s appt and still am awaiting chemo. It doesn`t look like any of my favorite chemo nurses are around so I`m a bit concerned about someone who is able to access a vein for my CA125 testing and chemo IV.However, my husband is with me today since school is off...Try to build yourself up for your next session of chemo. Lots of love,
    xxLinda

Hi Janet! That's great you finished your race! You are pretty amazing. And yes, Mother has a great attitude in this third round of chemo. The oncologist said her treatment will not end and that she will have maintenance once a month for a period of time. This is something she can handle since she can return home after this round of chemo and my brother will drive her to Atlanta once a month for her chemo and doctor's appointment. Or maybe she will see the doctor every third month? Lots of questions to ask this next doctor's appointment. How many treatments have you completed? How many have they ordered? You are truly the amazing one . . . . after 11 weeks in the hospital after your surgery. I just can't imagine the inner strength it took to endure this. But it is that inner strength that is healing you too! Are you still teaching? I am really exhausted after this last trip and trying to re-group at home. Hope you have had a relaxing weekend! Sending lots of hugs to you! XOX Susan Wales

    Dear Janet
We canceled our 7 member crew early this AM due to heavy rain and guess what...? The race has just started and the rain has stopped :( Oh well, at least I get to rest before venturing to NYC tomorrow. Have a great day, don`t forget to pamper yourself so that you get strong and healthy.
    xxLinda

  • Congrats

    Dear Janet
I`m sending you lots of congratulation for completing all 3 miles of your ovca walk, while having a cold. WE had a wonderful time at the wedding, however I don`t look forward to racing all day, today, in the pouring rain. I`m thinking of backing out because I`m afraid it will compromise my health for tomorrow`s venture to MSKCC in the rain :( I hope you spend your day relaxing so you can return to IU feeling healthier. Lots of love, as always.
    xxLinda

    Dear Janet
I`m sending you some of today`s NJ sunshine in hopes that it`ll last for your race tomorrow.Make an attempt to pamper yourself, as much as possible, so you`re strong enough to do the 3 miles. Good luck. Lots of love and strength, as always.
    xxLinda

    Dear Janet
I`m sending you some chicken soup in hopes that your cold passes quickly. I get a runny/stuffed nose as a side effect of the Avastin...go figure. I see that our weather seems to be shifting to a few days of rain. Unfortunately I have a Saturday wedding, sailing races on Sunday and MSKCC on Monday. I hope you feel better quick. Lots of love and health!

Janet, I hope you can get through the next few rounds of chemo as quickly as possible and go back into remission. I just found out my latest CA125 is now 11! I'm overjoyed. Be strong...you will make it through this!
