Hi Janet,
Hope this finds you feeling okay. Was so glad to hear that you'd enjoyed The Concrete Blond! There is another writer I like named John Connolly. His work is unusual as it's mostly based in the state of Maine, but this Connolly is from Ireland. His characters have a haunting sort of darkness about them. It's not great fiction, but fun.
I very much liked your explanation of the focus your therapy had on imagery. I think tonight I will visualize my worries all hopping aboard a train that goes off into the sunset never to return. You and I seem to have common thought processes.
Of course, it could be that this cancer has our attention like nothing ever did before!
many, many hugs, friend...lindamae -
Little Love

Dear Janet
Sending lots of love your way for your to bring to your new grandson :) I finally slept 9 hrs last night and feel like a new person. We were fortunate to stay away from the parade route so our trip home was unaffected.I usually get home anywhere between 3 and 4PM, so as you can see, my day is between 10-11 hrs start to finish for a 1 hr treatment. However, it`s definitely much better than the alternative...Have a wonderful trip to Chicago.
Lots of love,
xxLinda -

Dear Janet
Today my day began at 4:30AM because I had to be on the 5AM bus for MSKCC. Fortunately my husband was off work and was able to travel, in the darkness, with me. We were the first people to arrive here, due to the holiday bus schedule. So far I`ve had bloodwork and am awaiting chemo. It should be an interesting day because many streets are already blocked and police are out, in force, for the Columbus Day Parade. Hope you have a great day and have regained some of your energy back.

Hi Janet
I will be getting Cisplatinum and Gemcitabine and I will be starting on Tuesday. I plan to go on the 21st if I feel up to it. This week I have chemo on Tuesday and on Wed. I have a Dr's appointment. Then the next week I will have chemo on Monday,The meeting at Ovar on Wed, Thurs. my Brother in-law is graduating from a computer school that the VA had sent him too. So hope that this new chemo doesn't get me down too much. I know that I skip at least one week after the 2 chemo's they haven't really given me a schedule yet.
Sounds like you are doing better. Talk to you soon

Hello Janet....This chicken soup is to help you keep warm. I am so happy you are feeling better and will be able to travel to see your new grandson. How exciting. I will bet you have been wanting to get there and frustrated with waiting to feel better. A giant well done to you. We are pretty cold up here but no snow yet. About one hour north of us had snow on Saturday. YICKS....We are going to FLorida on the 24th for a week and then again on the 13th for 2 weeks. We are not going for the whole winter but on and off to keep the business going. We still need to work some. Enjoy your soup and keep warm. Hugs and more hugs....Beth

I'm With You

Dear Janet
I`m happy to hear that you`re coming out of your post chemo effects. I`ve been very fortunate in the fact that all my blood chemistry has always fallen in the normal range, never needing extra shots, transfusions, etc. I attribute this to my weight gain. I`ve never been 120 before, and unfortunately I`m much healthier at this weight. The only time I lose all stamina is the first 48 hours after chemo and my sleep tends to be very sporadic, sometimes 8hrs. sometimes 3hrs.most of the time 4-6hrs.However, I never look forward to my trek back, especially taking a 5:15AM bus and arriving in NYC in the scary dark :( My CA125 levels will be tested on October 26th. HAve a great weekend.

I was a very shy kid. Introverted till adulthood. When I got divorced and had to earn a living to raise my kids, I got into sales. It was the only thing I could do that I could make more than minimus wage. I have been in sales ever since. The shyness crepts in once in awhile and I have to push myself. Like I told Inka, I think I could burn out very easily on this job. Thanks for the Birthday wishes. Love and hugs, Anita.
