New job found

I decided to accept a new job yesterday. It will be a risk financially but I think it will be okay in the end.

Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI have been struggling with severe depression for the last 3 years. I think it is related to all the stress and responsibilities I have at work. Being divorced, a single parent, and not living near my family was also a factor. I went to see a psychiatrist and she put me on Prozac, Ativan and Ambien. The medications helped but depression and anxiety remained. Cognitive therapy,not drinking, keeping active socially and going back to church has greatly help my depression.
Treatments
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- Prozac Working / Worked
- Some side effects with the Prozac but tolerable. The pain from the depression was much worse. Ativan helped the anxiety which was as disabling as the depression.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Used self help as I know a lot about therapy. However, having a counselor is generally very benefical I think.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
