About Me
I am 34 years old. I had Roux En Y GBS on 01/05/2009. I have been quite lucky in that my recovery was easy and I had no complications. The hard part is learning to eat again. I have had to make peace with the fact that one of my first loves (potatoes) now has no business in my pouch! They kill me! But hey..at this point, I will take it! It is what got me her ein the first place. I started my journey at 5 feet even and 292 pounds. I am now 172 pounds (including pre-op weight loss). My goal (eventually) is 130. So about 40 more to go!

Close Gastric Bypass Surgery
I am 33 years old and have been in the process of pre-op bypass surgery since September. So far, everything has run very smoothly. My surgery is a month from today. I am 4 days into the Medifast diet and well..I'm hungry! LOL! Mind over matter. I do have 6 pounds in 4 days..keeping in the goal in mind. I have a great support system but I am looking for those who have experienced the "trial and error" period post op. This is my only concern.
Close Infertility
Type: Ovarian IssuesI was the girl in school who was supposed to get married and have a whole slew of kids..didnt happen. My husband and I have been trying for 5 years. 2 unsuccessful cycles of IUI later and I have decided to rid myself of PCOS for good...weight loss surgery. It may not be the answer but it may. ONe reason for my wieght loss is that I want to have children. Adoption is not an option for my husband.
