Sounds much to me like you had a stroke but an MRI is your best confirmation. when I had my stroke and had my first MRI in the er. it showed that I had previous transient strokes ( that I was unaware of) so sweetie be more proactive if you can; YOU ARE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE. remember to take pen & paper to the dr. if there is something you don't understand ask them to explain it in layman's terms & then you can come home and research on the computer. Close Migraine Headaches
Have migraines for 15 years, I hope to know that the way I suffer is common as others with migraine.
Treatments
- Botulin Toxin Working / Worked
- maybe worked to lessen migraine, but had illnesses after having so many botox injections
- Imitrex Working / Worked
- worked but after awhile it stopped working, changed meds
- Inderal Working / Worked
- still taking, don't know if it prevents them at all
- Maxalt Working / Worked
- worked at first but stopped as the other drug did
- Relpax Working / Worked
- worked but stopped as with all the triptans I've used
- Topamax Working / Worked
- worked, but I could not think well, could not remember things, awful
Close Stroke
I was in hospital and was told I had a stroke, but after seeing the on call neuro, he said I did not. He said hat I was having a migraine.I had limited use of my right side, speech problems, and couldn't walk. I didn't know what was happening was not normal, my brain did not seem to be working. When one of my daughters saw me, she made me go to the hospital.They did all kinds of tests, CT, etc. I do suffer from severe migraines, but have never had one affect me like this.Thank you, Serena
