EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE I GET TO ACTUALLY HELP SOMEONE. THAT MAKES IT ALL WORTH WHILE. MY GOAL WHEN I CAME ON DS WAS TO TRY AND BE A POSITIVE INFLUENCE AND HELP PEOPLE. I CAN SEE WHERE I HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE WITH A FEW. I AM ON MOST EVENINGS AND ON AND OFF DURING THE DAY. I NEVER SHUT MY COMP DOWN SO I CAN CHECK IN TIME TO TIME AND SEE IF I AM NEEDED. I AM ONLY WRITING A JOURNAL OUT OF CONCERN FOR THE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD. ALL WE ARE HEARING ABOUT IS SWINE FLU LATELY. WE ALL KNOW THERE ARE ALOT MORE PROBLEMS BUT RIGHT NOW THIS ONE TAKES PRESIDENCE OVER THE REST. I HAVE SPENT THE DAY AT THE STORE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO GET TO LAST THE LONGEST. WITH MY DAUGHTER AND WIFE BOTH BEING SUSEPTICAL TO ANY BUG THAT COMES ALONG THIS SWINE FLU HAS ME REALLY CONCERNED. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT WE ARE HEARING THE WHOLE STORY ABOUT IT. THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MEDS READY IF IT TURNS EPIDEMIC. WHO GETS THE MEDS? HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO SHOULD HAVE IT AND WHO SHOULDN'T? I AM NOT AFRAID OF DYING MYSELF. IF IT'S MY TIME THE LORD WILL CALL ME HOME IN WHATEVER FASHION HE WANTS. I AM MORE WORRIED ABOUT THE ONES WHO AREN'T RIGHT WITH GOD. WHAT ABOUT THEM ARE THEY GOING TO THE DEVIL LITERALLY? IF YOU ARE BELIEVERS NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO PRAY THAT IT DOESN'T GET WORSE. IF YOU ARE NOT A BELIEVER????????????

I'm with you on that Dad! Ready whenever it is my time. I will continue to pray and hope that it doesn't come to picking and choosing who will stay and who will go. Ultimately there is only one who makes that decision.

You are absolutely right brother! It is the poor people in third world countries that suffer. We have had a few cases here in Utah, but we have the meds and the facilities. God be with those who suffer this flu.

God will pick who gets the med and who don't, he will also pick who gets the flu and who don't. I feel fortunate that we can try to prepare for the sake of the baby maybe if we didn't have here it might not be such a "mothering" feeling but it is. I certainly understand your fear of whose "ready" and whose not, as this wld be a great time for them to want to do this, why so many people wait to make a death bed confession is beyond me,what if they didn't get the time who knows but god so all we can do is but pray for the ones we know . And of course just knowing your family is ready shld this happen but it is the other person we were sent for. Good journal dad! Love~~~Debbie
I HAVE BEEN TALKING TO SOME VERY NICE PEOPLE AND MAYBE I COULD UPDATE MY 10 PERCENT JUST A LITTLE. I TRY TO BE THERE FOR ANYONE THAT NEEDS ME AND HELP ANY WAY I CAN. IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING. I AM STARTING TO FEEL LIKE I DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND THAT IS WHAT I WANTED WHEN I CAME ON DS. I HAVE THE LOVE AND SUPPORT OF MY FAMILY HERE WITH ME AND THAT GIVES ME ALL THE CONFIDENCE THAT I NEED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I HAVE FRIENDS THAT ARE A PART OF MY FAMILY NOW. WE ARE GOOD PEOPLE HERE FOR EACH OTHER AND ANYONE THAT NEEDS US.
