I am estatic about my progress with AS. I was found to have tons of fluids in my joints and I have been getting injections to help get rid of it. I also was put on Voltaren and I don't have any pain to speak of. It even is helping my back pain. The voltaren is not hard on the kidneys either, so I am hoping this is a long term fix!

Close Ankylosing Spondylitis
I was first diagnosed with AS 23 years ago at the age of 26. With exercise i beat it back for a while, but 10 years ago it came back with a vengeance with rapid deterioration and a lot of pain and discomfort. Both hip joints have been replaced with artificial joints (porous titanium / ceramic).
Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I have Ankylosing Spondylitis (for 23 years) with some symptoms that mimic RA. The latter emerged about 5 years ago. Yes, I too am on methotrexate, and yep..works for me too. I have been stable for two years. I am now experiencing some improvement in joint mobility after starting on a natural plant product. I feel like i am getting my life back.
Treatments
- Voltaren Working / Worked
- I have been on this for about 10 years. I am now, for the first time ever, cutting my dosage in half and feeling better than ever.
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- Started taking it orally and had impacts on liver and nausea feeling for 12 days after my weekly dose. Since switching to injection about 2 years ago it is much better. I am gradually reducing my dosage.
