Other than a few weird things here and there I actually have felt almost normal these past few weeks. It's been so nice especially with the great weather outside. I just moved into a new office at the university too. For the first time I have a window. Not just a tiny window either, a huge 12' by 12' picture window looking out on huge green trees, snow capped mountains, and blue sky. It's pretty awesome after 13 years of artificial light. Maybe it will help my MS. My director said he would have gotten me a window a long time ago if that was the case. He's a good guy. :) Tuesday I go for botox injections for my dystonia. Fun. The muscles in my neck are painful and tight and go into spasms by the end of the day. My right hand has been partially numb for some time also because of the muscle spasms from the dystonia. Hopefully the botox will help. Last time my neurologist didn't give me a high enough dose. This time she's doubled the dose so I'm hoping it works. My husband is concerned about the side effects from the botox because of the high doses used to treat dystonia. Once when I was treated by a different neurologist I had difficulty swallowing and began choking when I was at home alone. It was pretty scary. It took several weeks for the effect to wear off and I was affraid to get botox for a long time after that. The doctor I see now is extremely cautious, but it's still scary.
