Born in the USA but have lived for the past 40 years Australia. Diagnosed with myeloma in 2003 - nearly died three times, but still going strong. Set up a local cancer support group in my home town 6 years ago, now it has over 100 members! Am now 'living with cancer' and no longer facing each day thinking it might be my last!!

Yeah, this hasn't been easy and easy journey. It seems it's going to get more difficult as Tom read about autologus stem cell transplant and now things have been kicked up a notch. His doc put him on antidepressants and gave him some antianxiety meds. He's going to truly need it. On second thought, so will I....

Diagnosed in 2003, I have had Myeloma for six years but thanks to all of the new treatments and drugs I am still going strong!! A big thank you to all of the research scientists and people who have been prepared to do Clinical Trials to test these things for I have truly benefited!!
After suffering two perforated bowel episodes from a reaction to dexamethasone, I ended up with MRSA for three years.
I had CTS 36 years ago and had both hands operated on within two weeks of each other!
