High Five
I haven't been able to tolerate any of the preventatives like Depakote. All I use is 100mg Imitrex and it usually helps, but my insurance only gives me 4 pills per month. Lately that's been enough.

Close Migraine Headaches
I have been suffering with migraine h/a for over 20years. i was getting them 3 times weekly. I have seen many different drs. but the best treatment i have found is botox injections!! NO MORE PAIN!! AT least not weekly. I get mild h/a just before it's time for more injections.I am fighting with my insurance to pay for the injections but will continue to get the injections, even if i have to pay for them. I could even get a job now!!!

- worked for about 5 hours then h/a came back
- Aspirin Working / Worked
- might as well just drink water, no effect
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- any perfume or strong cleaning products, smoke
- Botulin Toxin Working / Worked
- working!!!! i had my second round of injections and it is wonderful it actually "numbs" the pain, i still feel tired and dizzy as before a h/a but without the pain
- Caffeine Working / Worked
- no effect
- Excedrin Working / Worked
- no effect
- Imitrex Working / Worked
- helped at first but quite helping after a year or two and only helped for about 4 hours, then pain was back
- Magnesium Working / Worked
- still take this, does help some,
- Naproxen Working / Worked
- does help if h/a not too severe, helps with sumatriptan
- Topamax Working / Worked
- worked, helped, was not getting h/a as frequently but i had a bad side effect and got off of it.
