Well like Agnes Gooch, I lived a little! (Anges Gooch was a character from Mame.)I actually got to the Village parade--and actually got drenched,as a sudden downpour began halfway through. Most of us had umbrellas, but then after a while it almost didn't matter because you'd eventually get squooshed up against something or someone that was thoroughly soaked. I would have had better pictures but for that very reason!
The party afterwards wasn't bad...drier for one thing! We changed out of the wreckage of our costumes--I went as Andy Warhol and my poor Campbell's Soup labels melted--and we had a really nice relaxing time watching the Yankees and attempting to sing Karaoke (and I think the people trying to play poker were thoroughly annoyed at the rest of us.)Oh well!

I Love THE RAIN, I only wish it could rain here in Ca. A friend of mine who runs a Lexus store in NJ was trying to talk me into coming out there; with the mortgage and the family I just couldn't do it. Sure sounded like an adventure. who knows maybe I will retire some day and travel every place I've missed. have a fantastic week, z
