I think suppression makes you miserable. And I don't think it's quite the same thing as endurance.
Suppress has the connotation of inhibiting or curtailing. To endure is to tolerate without succumbing. Perhaps the two do go together in that people can tolerate or endure a suppressing force put upon them by themselves or by others.
I think some people must think I am a weak, pitiful fool for not being able to constrain my boundless creative thought. But by the same token, it's interesting to see how hard pressed these people are when asked to think originally.
So I think we should take turns with the box. I sit quietly within the box--for a short while--if they'll use the same amount of time thinking outside of it. (Betcha they can't do it!)
