About Me
I've just been told that my full body scan is clear and they will only monitor me now with blood tests to check my thyroglobulin levels. What a briliant week it's been! The last 6 months have been tough but worth the treatment to get to this stage.

Thank You!!! I know she can beat it... wish it would stop slipping around though and just stay in one place. I asked for them to dose her with an adult dose of I131 next time. I think that should do the trick except the tumor in her lung is cold... what do you do about that??? Maybe it won't ever change??

Close Thyroid Cancer
Type: Papillary CarcinomaI had a TT in November 08 to treat papillary cancer and had RAI in January 09. I've just been told that I'm now clear after having a full body scan on the 24th April! The last 6 months have been tough but worth it to get to this stage. I will have regular blood tests to keep a check on my thyroglobulin levels and that's all that's needed.
Treatments
- Cytomel Too Soon to Tell
- Seems OK although I do still feel quite tired and my body aches a lot in my joints and muscles.
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- Had RAI in January and will only have full body scan in April, so until then I won't know what the outcome is. My taste has been affected and I was quite nauseous for the first week. I also started getting nosebleeds about a week after RAI. Not serious ones, but my nose feels very sore and dry inside.
