Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
Had my first DVT when I was 14, have had 2 more since. On warfarin for life. All thanks to Factor V Leiden and either protein C resistance or protein S deficiency (different doctors telling me different things...)
Treatments
- Coumadin Somewhat Helpful
- Have had a DVT whilst being on warfarin, but I hadnt had a blood test in a while and my INR had dropped to 1.9. I get loads of GI problems that I can only really blame on warfarin!
- Heparin Working / Worked
- Have been given this in the days after having a DVT, and was on a drip of it with my first. Works, shame about it having to be injected into the tum though!
Close Restless Legs Syndrome
Ive had restless legs for a few years now. Not sure if its got something to do with my DVT or not. Often wonder if its some sort of subconcious mechanisn to keep my legs active. Its annoying anyway. never been to the doctors with it, I've had enough of them! I might get round to it one day though.
