Recovering Heroin Addict, moved to Oregon from Boston, MA to go to a halfway house, and stayed after I got out, but I grew up in boondocks, Illinois. I'm a nursing student, and when I get my degree I want to join the army nurse corps. I've lived on both coasts and everywhere in between, and you can't beat the Midwest.

Right on bro. Sometimes you gotta take the pressure off yourself a bit and just cruise. I mean, don't get caught cruising too long, but it's good to just work and whatnot for a while. I am looking at getting back into school next year, but you never know. Kind of sick of my job right now, but I will just keep on keeping on, as they say. Good to hear from you bro. God Bless

Close Heroin Addiction & Recovery
Clean and Sober since: 09/01/09. Started using heroin when i was 15, i just moved out of sober living home i was at for the last 8 months, had a few slip ups there, but i'm on the right path
Treatments
- Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Working / Worked
- I go to NA and AA
- Residential Treatment Center Working / Worked
- Went to a 30 day inpatient hospital rehab, and a wilderness treatment program too. Wilderness really opened my eyes, it was quite an experience.
- Suboxone Somewhat Helpful
- you have to be careful finding out your motives before taking it

Open Loneliness
Being clean and sober really limits what type of people i can have around me, and a lot of the time i feel alone even when i'm around people, trapt in my head.
