Musician by night and a supportive mother of a teen addict. I have been in what most would call hell for the past 5 years, going through my sons addiction with him, searching for ways to save his life and help him to save himself. I have gone to all the meetings, never missed a visit in rehab or to the jail, listened to and participated in all the counseling and learning DBT, and have rigorously studied the drug meth. My son has 1 year clean now, is not incarcerated and doing well. I have now launched my own personal war against addiction. I feel that since my son's life has been spared so far......I need to pay it forward. I am determined to do what I can. I can lend my knowledge and personal experience and am always researching new information on the substances crippling our world.
