Thank you Mood
Tuesday, November 10, 2009
Thank you all so much for your kind words and wisdom.  I just love this group and all of you so much.  You lift my spirits when they are down, and give me renewed strength.  I only wish every mother who loses a child could know about this group.  I have found myself watching the obituaries, or noticing more so, when someone loses a child and if I can find an address, I send them a card, and tell them about this site.  God bless all of you.  Love, Julia

Julia, that is such a kind gesture to send the parents a card. My therapist knows how much DS has helped me, and asked for the web address so that she could refer some of her patients.

This group has been a life saver for me. What amazes me the most is that I have learned how to reach out to others when I was so alone in the beginning. I am single and my one remaining child is in another state. I live with my mother, who is very unsympathetic and pretty much has made my life hell for the last year. And yet, I have learned so much about wanting to give to others, to pay forward, to learn to live and laugh again. I have met the most resilient and inspiring woman that I could ever hope to meet. I have made lifelong friends. I have been held under the mists of Niagara Falls and cried with someone I just met and felt more at peace with this person than I ever felt with anyone in my family. God Bless You, Julia, for reminding me to be thankful. Love, Belinda

I send a card, and I write a short bit about myself and DS. I tell them it is maybe for them or maybe it will not be, but that they should find some sort of group or help to get through it. I think this is a good idea, but I was afraid I was being too pushy. I feel better now that I know you do kinda the same thing, love,Peg

I love the idea of sending a card to those who have lost a child....I hope I can pay it forward like so many here have done. Thank you for the idea. And, yes...I too have found this site to be something I am eager to come to each day...whether it is a bad bad day so I can cry...or to share what peace has come my way so others will have hope. Love, Dale...Brandon's Mom

This site is wonderful. I think for you to share it with other bereaved mothers is such a heartfelt gift. It's so difficult to carry this grief alone and I only wish others will and can find the support we have found through each other. Thanks to you. Love Robin

That is such a great idea and such a gift from your heart. It is somewhere they can find such understanding and support like they won't find anywhere else. And what a compassionate thing for you to do. Hugs, Kim
