Just wanted to say welcome to DS and I'm curious with your combo of diagnosis did they rule out Marfan's syndrome. Your headed in the right direction with the genetic Dr appointment, good luck with that.Kon

    • Close Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome

I was diagnosed in 2007 with EDS, although have had symptoms since childhood. Most troublesome are, chronic pain, fatigue, and heart palpitations. I've done a lot of research on line, but have had difficulty finding a Dr. who knows much about EDS, let alone who is willing to treat it.

    • Close Chronic Pain

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2005, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome in 2007 and have multiple heart conditions. I have been in chronic pain since childhood, but manage to keep working somehow.

      Treatments

      Chiropractic Adjustment Considering
Somewhat helpful in the past. Might try it again.
      Cymbalta Not Working
Couldn't stand the side effects of waking up in a cold sweat numerous times each night.
      Flexeril Working / Worked
Has worked somewhat, but makes me too tired.
      Hydrocodone Working / Worked
Norco has worked the best so far.
      Meditation Working / Worked
Helps for the short term...doesn't seem to last too long.
      Morphine Somewhat Helpful
Can't remember why I stopped- only took it for a short while.
      Neurontin Not Working
Side effects too much! Felt like my head was on a toothpick.
      Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
Only helped when I was doing it. Somedays it caused more pain than it helped, though.
      Topamax Working / Worked
Seems to have cut down the number of migraines drastically.
