Finally! I made it, for the FIRST time in my life I was able to lose a considerable amount of weight. My goal was 25 pounds but I have already lose 30 pounds. I still want to go for the last 10 pounds in other to achieve the 140 pounds goal, and be back to wearing size 10 clothes again. There I'll stop, since I'm 5'7" and I don't want to look too skinny, just healthy enough to help my PTC condition get into a remission status and be able to get pregnant without being overweight at the begging of the pregnancy.

Wow! That is great! How did you do it? I am 5'7 & 1/2. I used to weigh 148 and loved it. Now I am 176. I have put in on over the past year. Not sure how. Congrats. You must feel great!

The funny thing about this diet, was that this was the first time I didn't follow a rigid regime. From the first time I didn't set impossible goals (as I did in previous attempts) and I didn't let the diet take control of my life. Once in a while I did whatever I want it do. I cheat, knownly just to remember myself I was the one in control and not the diet. I enjoyed all the parties I attended, but I also made serious attempts to be more wise the following days. My goal, this time, was to make the diet a good part of my day and not the punishment I used to think of it. From all the changes I made, I must point to these 2 as the major factors: changing sodas to water, increasing my water intake during the day and slowly reducing the portions of everything I ate, because if you do it very slowly the body adapts very well to the change, and before you even notice, your hunger and cravings start lowering in a noticeable way. If you change portions in a dramatic way, you'll stay hungry and that MUST NEVER happen while dieting. That's the key to longlast, never allow you to feel or stay hungry because of a diet. But the body can slowly adapt to any change you try on it. As with any other diets, there are THINGS you must avoid, I say avoid and not eliminate completely, because that's a very hard thing to do. Fried food, fast foods, wheat based products, dairy products, high-fat products, high-sugar products and high sodium products. Everything that comes in a can, isn't good, should be avoided (but it's almost impossible to avoided it 100%). Make a diet that will suit your needs, taste, and things you actually like to eat. I never went for the ugly stuff such as hummus, tofu, broccoli and stuff I'll never let go into my mouth. I just made a diet with the things I like that were more healthy. Try something like this and let me know how it goes.
p.s. I lost my 30 pounds in just 5 months.
