A 4ft Carpet Python started our day, by slithering along the verandah beams high up above the front door. There's plenty of food around for them at the moment with mice and frogs being their favourite tucker. My husband grabbed the rake and was going to pull it down but I'm of the theory that you leave well alone, which is OK except the python headed up into the roof cavity of the house !
Now. I'm pretty positive the python will take one look at the dust and the moths up there and go back to where it came from. But my dearly beloved is not so convinced. The only place it can really get to is his workshop at the end of the house, which has no ceiling to it. So all day we've keep glancing upwards just in case "Slithery Sam" decides to make himself present inside the house!
We have a 6ft+ phython that lives down around the aviaries and another in the machinary shed which Ed discovered curled up in a storage box just the other day. The largest one I've seen here was about 9ft - 10ft long and as thick as my upper arm. I'm glad that one has not decided to pay us a visit.
I wonder where he'll turn up next - time will tell.

Holy Python! That is a bit of creepiness I did NOT need!!!
