Dear Lil, You and mum are in my prayers. My daughter went off to college 10 before I was diagnosed with stage IIIA breast cancer. It was a difficult situation, I hid it from her for several weeks. I had to tell her when she came home for a funeral and my hair was falling out. If you can, get her to seek a second and third opinion. Respect her wishes and love her up. Talk to mum if you can, if not, sit close or hold her hand, rub her back or just snuggle with her on the couch or in bed, sometimes words are hard to find. She may not know what to say either. Crying with her is OK too. You are a sweet loving daughter, she is very lucky to have you.
