I was just diagnosed with MS in July of 08. In my previous life I was a big time roller skater. I hope I can someday do that again on at least a smaller scale! Other than that I am a college student... an undeclared grad student to be exact.

Thx for the hug and I'm doing great. I finally quit smoking one month ago yesterday and feel terrific. I'm calmer, less fatigue, and can definitely breathe better. And fortunately I don't miss those horrible things one bit. My balance seems to have returned to near normal as well as the cognitive problems as well. So for the time being, I'm going to enjoy being relatively M.S. symptom free while it lasts. It could also be that the weather has cooled down somewhat as well; that probably is a factor too. So I'm not going to worry about when the next relapse/attack occurs, just enjoy everyday as best as I can. I saw your smiley face in the middle, so I hope things improve for you. I'm sending you some "chocolate" for the "happy" effect and lots of aloha from Hawaii. -dave
i am sorry that things are not the way they used to be; i truly wished they were for you. i have no idea about things; i cannot even figure out my own life. but i do know that you should not be in a chair and mourning your father. inside he knows how you feel and he relives your love every day. be sure of that.
you take care. lorrie
Yes she had a bad dr from the beginning of her diagnosis
now with the new ms specialist she has been in better spirits
please stay strong. and, some of those older folks might not be so bad. it sounds like you have a good handle on what is going on, and you have the brains to carry out your actions.

I was diagnosed with MS in July 2008. I am currently an undeclared graduate student struggling to make it through.
I am an undeclared grad student who has been diagnosed with MS this year. I struggled through undergrad due to my health issues. Even without the MS college is stressful enough!
My uncle recently had the genetic testing done and it showed up that he had CADASIL. My father had some strokes and his neurologist is ordering genetic testing for the same condition due to his symptoms. I want to learn more about it for my father's sake and possibly my own if I happen to have it!
I am an only child. My dad went into a nursing home in January of 08 shortly after I graduated from college. Theres also all the fun things that go along with that.... ie selling dad's house and car, taking care of his affairs, etc... it sucks! i also was diagnosed with MS in July so I had to clean and take care of business with weak legs and pain!
I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2004.
