Dear Sarah I have to apologize for confusing the names of you and your Mom. I started with DS last night at 1PM, initially not understanding what to do. Today I finally wrote my profile when I understood. Possibly you can tell me how to get my story out there up fron just as you did with your Mom`s. We at 59 aren`t the techies that are daughters are. However, we seem to have so much in common...Firstly, I was born in Indianapolis while my father attended dental school at the University of Indiana. He recently passed away at 92 yrs of age in August, the same time my abdominal pain developed. I thought the pain was from the stress of his death and initially took the wrong wrote. I was dealing with doctors for stomach problems. Eventually a walk in group had me get a CAT scan which showed large masses and a great amount of fluid in my abdomen. I was awaiting an appt with my GYN, who then moved it up quickly. The moment he saw the CAT his reply was advanced ovarian cancer that could be fatal. I then was referred to a GYN/Oncologist who had no bedside manner but did a complete debulking. He said I was 99% cancer free, however the number only went from 7500 to 1500 after surger. The rest is what you`ve read. I`m fortunate that my daughter lives close, no children yet. My married son lives in Annapolis, no children. I`d love to see a grandchild born in my lifetime but am not certain this will happen. How do I get my story on the page where your Mom`s story is? Thanks for being a very special new friend! xxLinda
Little Love
Dear Hanne Thanks for sharing your Mom`s drugs...I`m recording anything my new friends have to share and asking my oncologist if they`ll use them for me. I`m 59 and my children are 35 and 33. This experience started in April and has been horrible, I was an avid runner, sailor, skier, exercise daily, ate healthy and did all the right things. Thanks for being a new friend that is helping guide me through this. My CAt scan is this week, next week they`ll regroup and see what`s next on their plan. xxLinda

Close Ovarian Cancer
My mom was diagnosed with stage 3C ovarian cancer in January of 2008. She had debulking surgery right away. She had massive involvement and had to have part of her colon resected and her starting Ca125 was 20,000 range. After her 8 rounds of chemotherapy, her Ca125 was 33. Four months later, is has gone up to 220. They are starting a maintenance program for her now.
