Hi I'm Rachel I am 28 and have been married 3 years. We just bought our first home together last August. I went through my first ivf cycle March 09 and had it cancel due to a cyst sadly. 7/18/09 first BFP! I am pregnant with twins and due 3/25/10.

Hug
I am feeling pretty good and I and taking it easy. I lay down a lot and that seems to help. I am just trying to make it three weeks or more and then my three will be here... that is just crazy. I am sorry that you are still in so much pain.

Honey you don't ever have to be sorry for being honest about you pain. We mothers of multiples go through hell for our kids. I had a perinatologist appointment today. I drove 2 hours and when I got there I was told that Dr. Death ( a dr. who told me I would have to kill one of my babies or they would all be sick) was the only dr. on. I called 3 times to make sure she was not going to be there. So my husband told them we would no be staying and we would not be back. I hurt so bad on the 2 hour car ride home that I sat trying not to cry because I didn't want him to worry. When I got home I stripped down and passed out for 3 hours. I hurt everywhere.
You are on this support group so that you can talk about what is going on and bothering you... and you sure as heck should not be sorry.

Thanks for the hug! We're doing well. Collin is going to be a monster for Halloween. We found a cute costume at Babies R Us. I'll post pics next week! How are you feeling?

I'm feeling well, just tired. And as far as telling people, I think pretty much everyone knows by now as Kent could not keep quiet LOL. He has been so funny since he saw the babies and I'm telling you, he's got more symptoms than I do! I'm just happy that he is happy. How about you? Feeling...... butterflies yet?

Close Infertility
My husband has a low count and motility. We have known this for a year and went to a fertility doctor back in November of 08. I knew we would need ivf and probably icsi and that was confirmed at the appointment. The good news is that I have a clean bill of health. No problems were found during my U/S or my hysteroscopy. I know things could of course be worse but some days are better than others for me. It's tough.
Treatments
- Acupuncture Working / Worked
- It got rid of a cyst I had! Also helped with backaches and headaches! Over all I like it.
- Crying Somewhat Helpful
- Sometimes it helps especially if I cry with a friend or my husband. If I cry alone I tend to spiral deeper into sadness.
- Estradiol Too Soon to Tell
- Began using the estradiol patches 2 days after my 5 day transfer. Seem to be fine.
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- I've been taking prenatals since 08
- Follistim Working / Worked
- Taking bravelle. Seems to be working my follicles are growing. Starting day 8 of stims I started getting abdominal pain and back pain. Nurse said that was normal.
- hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Working / Worked
- Had slight pain in my ovaries for 30 min after shot and then was fine.
- Hysteroscopy Working / Worked
- I was nervous but what was most uncomfortable was having my bladder full during the procedure. It felt at first like a pap test but hurt as the scope was inserted. It was a short procedure about 10 minutes and I it does not require anesthesia. There were no abnormalities found in my uterus. The outcome was good for me.
- In Vitro Fertilization Working / Worked
- Began meds in June after a cancelled cycle in March. Got my first BFP on July 16, 2009!!
- Lupron Working / Worked
- Currently using lupron. Side effects have been tiredness and abdominal pain (but not serious).
- Ovulation Predictor Kit Working / Worked
- I used the clearblue easy ovulation predictor kit with the smiley face. It worked very well for me showed when I was ovulating.
- Progesterone Working / Worked
- Started these July 3rd. I am on the PIO shots. Was a little nervous but iced the area and it was not bad. It didn't sting like my stim shots did.
- Repronex Working / Worked
- I am using menopur. Follicles are growing but I have abdominal pain.
- Talking Somewhat Helpful
- Sometimes it helps to talk about how I am feeling but other times it feels like people don't understand.
Close Pregnancy After Loss/Infertility
Had 1st ivf in March 09 cancel because of a cyst. 2nd ivf in June with BFP in July! Very excited to be pregnant!
Open Pregnancy
I found out today 8/5/09 that I am definetly pregnant with twins!! Very excited and nervous. We went through ivf to get here.
