I suffered from chronic kidney disease for almost twenty years until my health deteriorated last fall. I'd been on the UNOS list since November of 2006 and received my organ in January 2008.

Treatments

Cellcept Working / Worked

I've been on myfortic since the transplant. It's a balancing act as it causes major diarrhea, but is needed so as to prevent any rejection episodes.

Prograf Working / Worked

Caused bad tremors in the beginning, but much better now. I seemed to have found my corect dose of 2mg both am and pm.

Zenapax Working / Worked

When my Myfortic was reduced because my white blood cell count was too low, I was put on Zenapax for 6 weeks. It caused bad diarrhea, but seems to have done it's job.
