      I have been suffering from mild right side abdominal discomfort for 8 weeks near the site of scar tissue from a right sided hemi colectomy performed 14 years ago. I had a CT scan this week and my specialist told me I had moderately serious left sided diverticulitis despit the fact the pain was on the right side. He just advised a high fibre diet but no drugs to treat it.
