About Me
I had genotype 2 and probably had the virus dormant for 35 years undetected. I did my god awful six months of tx and am now viral free. So far, so good. I am quickly getting my strength back and intend to get stronger than even prior to tx. My energy is back to HIGH GEAR after a month & a half and I feel like my old self.

hi jet, i have the exact same thing. cant walk to well sometimes cant do much of anything sometimes. yesterday i started to cry because i couldnt even do my laundry without feeling out of breath. i to have anemia but i havent started tx yet for that. but i was active also now not so much. well hopefully well feel better soon. take care.

Close Hepatitis C
I've probably had hep C for 3 decades and have been asymtomatic so never knew until I had a blood test a year ago. I am starting Interferon tx this w/e.
Treatments
- Interferon, pegylated Working / Worked
- So far it worked. Will get tested again in a couple months and then a year, 2 yrs and 5. The side effects were very extreme with breathlessness throughout the tx. Bad rash, hair loss, low energy, major change in diet, brain fog.
- Ribavarin Working / Worked
- Made me very sick and had to cut down on the mg. My RBC was very low in addition to my WBC so had to take extra shots to counter those for most of the tx.
