Well, now that I am all done (at least for now) with the surgeries and radiation, it is time to get back to the business of finding a leg to work with. I went to Hanger because that is where my insurance is hanging out these days and went thru the process of getting a new socket (a fairly easy part of the process) and selecting a new foot. I initially tried the Ceterus which I did not find to be comfortable and am now in the Vari-flex, which is not bad. I was angling for the ever popular Perfect Stride II, but this Hanger must be married to Ossur (or at least joined at the hip). Anyway, the fit process continues as we work towards getting the most comfortable appendage for this chunky one legged guy hoping to do more activities that he currently manages. I took the leg up to my roof yesterday to help clear out the gutters (will have to do that again after the fall falling of the leaves) and I managed that okay. Today it is lawn work and maybe a bike ride. Maybe!!!
