I was really tired with the Topamax, too. It probably took me about 4-6 weeks to get completely used to each 25mg increase, but I stuck it out because of the weight loss! And I was glad I did, because it really made a huge difference with my bipolar disorder. It's also helped out a great deal with my migraines. And now I don't notice any side effects from it at all. Been on 300 mg a day for about 6 months now. Hopefully it works out for you! Sometimes the side effects of meds are really horrible, but worth sticking through.
Topamax for pain? Wow, I'm already on that for bipolar disorder. I'm willing to stick the side effects of Lyrica out in the hopes that they will wear off, but I'm worried that if they do, so will the benefits. But Lyrica is my last hope! I hate this condition! At least with bipolar disorder, the doctors WANT to treat you.
Hi Marie...I'll be praying for you and encouraging you. I, too, have lots of weight to lose. I'm in the process of finishing my consultations for lap band surgery in August (I hope). I'm back to exercising (Curves For Women) 2-3 times per week. I deal with lots of physical and emotional issues. I understand completely what you are going through. Keep the faith.
I have a lot of trouble losing weight too. I will start a diet and do pretty well to begin with but then i quit losing and get depressed and i give up but i am at the point now where it is affecting my health. I wish you lots of luck on the goal you have set. My prayers are with you.
Hi Marie, I just saw your photo and we look similar, I have hair like yours and I wear glasses. I'm 50 though and will be 51 in June so be careful about the diabetes, as we get older it becomes more and more of a maintenance chore. I'm overweight but it didn't bother me that much until last year, I have had edema in my legs and now have to wear compression leg raps. Good luck with your weight loss. It's a good thing you have a supportive husband.
My son has ADHD and I am sure I do to. The treatment used will be his. We have gone through a lot of different ones since 4th grade. He is a senior this year and is doing well
Found out I have Diabetes 2 in June not on meds just made a change in diet and started walking.
working on changing my way of life with learning to eat better and exercise. Very overweight so have a long way to go - but ready to begin.
