The hope of something better keeps me going. I want to live the full life that other people live. But I've given up seeing my local doctors. Come to think of it - I give up.

The paper defining the empirical/Reeves definition can be read at: http://www.biomedcentral.com/1741-... should be read in conjunction withrnrnhttp://www.iacfsme.org/IssueswithCDCEmpiricalCaseDefinitionandPrev/tabid/105/Default.aspxrnrnandrnrnhttp://www.mecfswa.org.au/News_and_Media/News_Details/CDCs_Empirical_Definition_Further_Discredited/Default.aspxrnrnandrnrnhttp://me-cfs.se/dok/081205-cfs-no-longer-cfs.pdfrnrnThen you should gain the devistating impact this proposed empirical/Reeves definition 2005 will have on current CFS research if the CDC adopt Reeves.rnIt will put back research probably 10 years.rnI want to get better in my life time, not the next.rnCheersrnAl
Thanks for the moment of sunshine your message brought!
Thank you!
I have been dealing with CFS since '68/'69 when I got sick with possibly the Hong Kong flu. Back then CFS was just assumed to be mono. It "morphs" through the years. The first many years I suffered from low-grade fever, sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, unending flu, monthly respiratory infections, extreme fatigue, brain fog; but not so much connective tissue pain. Now, in my 50's, there is much more pain, even less stamina, chronic strep infection, still flu-like symptoms.
I contracted a deathly flu back in the '60's in my early teens and with it, ended up with a bad bout of Meningitis. I never fully recovered from that flu and have been dealing with recurring episodes of Meningitis and CFS since then.
About 2 yrs. ago I got a tick bite, with the "text book" bullseye rash on my arm. Trouble is, before the rash showed up, I was very sick with Meningitis, etc. So I was delayed in getting treatment.
My son has been diagnosed with ADD. My husband has been diagnosed with ADD. I think I might be a candidate, but I'm too afraid of a score of 3 out of 3.
Although I have been dealing with CFS for the past 40 years, Fibromyalgia has been an increasing problem for the past 20 years, making it harder to sleep or exercise.
