Finally getting there

I am 32 years old, mother of two wonderful boys - Tristan 3yrs old and Shilo 3 months old. My husband is South American, where we lived until recently until moving here to help care for my father after he suffered a brain injury. Now it's very strange because I'm the one who needs taken care of. I miss our life there, but love my role as mommy and it's mostly from my boys that I find strength.

My family, my friends, cooking, reading, travel. Crochet is a new hobby started during my recovery. I wish I could have a little farm to raise some cows to make cheese, which I love doing. And walking in the mountains is the best!

Hi Shilosmommy, sorry for mirroring all your advice - you are just way too sensible ;-D Hope all is well with you and that you can enjoy the summer sunshine this week. Pip
Just saw the photos of your family and read your profile. Truly a beautiful family! I know what you mean about your kids giving you strength. Mine are older now (son is 16, daughter is 13) but they still continue to fill my life with happiness and excitement for the day, always something new. Sorry you had to leave your home in South America, but maybe your dads illness drew you back here for the medical care you needed. Hope he is doing better. I know you and I will be fine in the long run. It is just going to take a lot of patience and time. My mom used to say "time heals all wounds". You take care and enjoy those babies. I know that must be hard to and hope you get some help from others when you get pooped out. Take care and thanks for the comments and advice. It really helped.
thank you so much
Thanks so much for your kindness.
Hope you are well.

Hi! Thanks for the hug. I am actually doing alright, but everyday is a new experience.
Hope you are doing well too :D
Two weeks after the birth of my second baby I started having severe leg pain and by day 2 suspected DVT. After a week of multiple visits and phone calls to doctors (in which they said I definitely didn't have DVT)I woke in night with severe chest pain. DVT/massive PE was confirmed, I almost died, and life has been upside down since.
I'm a 32 year old mother of 2-Tristan 3 yrs and Shilo 3 months old. I have DVT after a very difficult breech delivery with my second son and have recently survived massive pulmonary embolism resulting from the DVT.
My grandmother was diagnosed a week ago with RCC.
