    • Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)

      Hi! I went in mid September for a procedure called sclerotherapy. It was supposed to fix the problems I was having with my vericose veins (achy tired legs that couldn't keep up with me!) Doc did the procedure and told me to go home and get back to my life. Was in a lot of pain and it was getting worse so by end of week, I went to emerg. and an ultrasound confirmed DVT in my left leg. Spent 8 days in hospital, got heperin shots and coumadin and was sent home. Scared and freaked out!!

      Treatments

      Coumadin Working / Worked
      Past 3 INR's have been in range.
      Heparin Working / Worked
      Took awhile for it to start raising my INR, but eventually got going.
