I am 55 years old married to my wife and best friend 28 years. I live in the Southeastern Massachusetts/Cape Cod area. I have finally accepted that I am a bisexual and am working on letting that be part of my core identity while maintaining a happy marriage with my wife. I also consider myself bigendered in that my inner thoughts and emotions have a very feminine slant to them. I enjoy my male body but also enjoy my inner feminine side. I enjoyed the intellectual freedom to be who I wanted to be while in College in the 70's and am looking to recapture that freedom to be myself. Its an interesting balancing act. I want to be myself yet our society isnt quite ready.

Close Coming Out
Although I had experiences with both sexes when I was younger before I was married It took me until I was 53 years old to finally accept that I was a bisexual. I can chose how I lead my life but I cant change who I am. It was like an epiphany. I shared the information with my wife, my adult children and others on a need to know basis. I have never been happier finally being able to open about who I really am.
Open Transgender
I have always considered myself androgynous. I really feel like Im just one of the girls inside but am very happy in my male body on the outside. It does cause me issues because of my male body people do not see the women in me until they know me very well. I recently heard the term bigendered and it suits me fine as a label.
