Type: Seasonal Affective DisorderWinters have been VERY hard for me and I always get pessimistic. I am also disabled from migraines and the disability is affecting my marriage so we are talking divorce.
Treatments
- Prozac Working / Worked
- In 1992 it worked extremely well for me but lately they lowered the dosage due to the fact that I couldn't keep a thought in myhead for longer than 5 minutes.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Just began therapy again after 10 years
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- Seems it is working
- Depakote Too Soon to Tell
- They have me on Depakote for my migraines but therapist said it affects moods also. I will be contacting someone to see if it was to blame for be turning pyscho.
Close Migraine Headaches
I have suffered from migraines all mylife but for the last twoyears theyhave increased dramatically. I am on disability due to having migraines at least 15 days a month.
Treatments
- Midrin Working / Worked
- dulled the pain but never stopped it-made me feel like a zombie youno brain dead but walking
- Chiropractic Adjustment Working / Worked
- it helped for about five years at stopping my migraines but doesn't do anything anymore.
- Maxalt Not Working
- it created rebound headaches
- Relpax Not Working
- it stopped the migraine for 12 hours but gave me left shoulder/arm pain that was almost as bad as the migraine
- Zomig Not Working
- been on it for a month but it just dulls the migraine and does not seem to stop it. Plus I can only take 9 pills a month.
- Compazine Working / Worked
- seems tostopsome migraine but not all of them. Doeshelpwiththe nausea
- Inderal Not Working
- Iam taking 160 mg daily and it is not preventing migraines in anyway. Trying to get my DR toswitchme to something else
- Midrin Working / Worked
- Depakote 500 mg 3 x day I am still getting double vision when it rains but the brain swelling trying to break free of my skull is gone. Course I have only been on it 3 weeks

- so far it is preventing migraines during thunderstorms.
Open Hypothyroidism
I used to be on Synthryoid but am now on the generic levothyroxin and have noticed a difference in my energy level

- worked great had lots of energy and was able to keep my weight down. Unfortunately my insurance demanded I use a generic.
- Synthroid Not Working
- does not work if you ask me. myenergy is just about non-existent and I keep gaining weight even tho my eating habits have changed so I am eating less than before

- kept us married for another 15 years but we are down to where neither of us are able to figure out how to change the last few things

- it was great for the kids to understand they were not the problem
Open Dyslexia
My husband has about 7 types of dyslexia. I am trying to find ways to help me be ableto live with him without making him feel bad about himself. I also need coping methods for when his dyslexia causes him to accuse me of spending all his money every pay day. It is getting to the point where I feel the only solution is divorce but I still love him.
