I was diagnosed with a DVT in my right leg and multiple PE's in my right lung in mid October 2008. After a week in the hospital on a heprin IV and coumidin I was realeased. I will be on coumidin for at least a year and will have to wear compression stockings. This clot has really chaged my lifestyle. I used to be on the go all the time but now my health limits those activities.

I was told for years I was to young for knee replacement even though I walked with 1 or 2 canes and gained about 60 pounds from limited movement. I finally found a wonderful doctor who said bone on bone means we do it now. I recommend a second or 3rd opinion. Coincidently, the marvelous doctor was much younger than my former doctor. Good luck!

how are you doing sweet heart ? Do you still take the coumadin ? As for me I am finally feel so much better. Since march 16,2008 When I was rush to ER and found that I have A PE. I AM OFF MY MEDICATION (COUMADIN ) ABOUT ALMOST 4 WEEKS NOW. well, i just want you to know that i am so happy to hear from you at Daily Strength Womens Group. KEEP WHAT YOU DOING. Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
end of October 2998 I fell and tore my calf muscle. At physical therapy two weeks later they massaged my leg. I went home and immediately had trouble breathing and my chest hurt. I put it down to being out of shape due to a prior knee injury. The next week I told my doctor. She ordered an ultra sound of my leg. I had a DVT they admitted me to the hospital and did a CT scan of my lungs. I had a large PE and several smaller ones. I spent a week in the hospital on a heprin drip and coumidin

I have a torn miniscus and bone on bone arthritis. The doctors won't touch either because last October i was diagnosed with a DVT and PE. They say come back in a year! I don;t think I can take this knee pain for a year!
