was an Rn, 3 great teens, MS for 21 years, including trigeminal neuralgia , optic neuritis, peaceful person, love sushi, like to meet people, love all music, have a great family with super support! getting more progressive with my MS, interested in politics, am online a lot. Love to shop but there is no money right now!

The metaphysical, Love reading, planting and watching things grow, involved with my kids, enjoy socializing with people even if it has to be on the phone, aerobic walking, , more but I am limited you know, due to my illness

Close Trigeminal Neuralgia
Hi! I have suffered from TN for over 12 years now It is currently under control for the last three years. That means that as long as I take my Trileptal 3x/day, I'm OK. Terrible, excruciating lighteneing bolts that advanced to razors in my face was instantly diagnosed by an excellent neurologist, and began medication treatment with neuroleptics and narcotics. At one time, so overmidicated that I was addicted and high all the time.Finally referred to a pain clinic where a fantastic doc

- Gamma Knife Not Working
- 7 years ago very traumatic and never worked for me.
- Oxycodone Somewhat Helpful
- Helped by making me stoned most of the time a terrible addiction to kick. 7 years ago
- Keppra Working / Worked
- Very helpful but theraputic dose was too high so neccy to go off.
- Trileptal Working / Worked
- Still taking maximum dose today
- Biofeedback Working / Worked
- Did nothing for this type of pain
- Acupuncture Not Working
- Did nothing for this kind of pain except for that particular day. To be fair the doctor did tell me that for TN it would probably not be effective. Very good honest doc

Type: Seconday Progressive MSI have had MS for more than a couple of decades! Now I do my best, but the host weather is horrible! This web site is great, I love all of the chioces here! Everyone needs to know about this!

Open Blindness & Visual Impairment
Type: Partially SightedI have had MS for 21 years and slowly and steadily my vision has deteriorated I can still see 20/70 in my good eye with correction.

I have a 14 and a 15 year old, one girl and one boy, and a 21 year old son living with me. I am handicapped, have ms, and things can get difficult.

Open Back Pain
My back pain has gotton very bad in the last couple of years. I have had it for many years, but just sort of ignored it, I had other pain problems and things to distract me. Now, I did something or twisted something and have thinned discs on xray and fused sacral coccyx discs with arthritis. They say I am too young to have this! They say that about every thing in my life!!!

I believe that I am finally in Menopause, haveing had no period for over three months. I know that they wait for six months, and you are not sterile for one year, but still...

I believe that I need better nutrition as with my MS, it is sometimes hard to go shopping and all my kids like is CHEESE ON TOP OF ANYTHING!!!

I have been a single parent for over seven sear, but it seems like I have always a single parent because my husband, two of them were never emotionally abailabe to the child.
Open Diets & Weight Maintenance
Due to illness and decreased activity, I have gained over 50 lbs in the last 10 years! I have no history of being overweight and this does not run in my family.
