About Me
Was in a coma 2 months, woke on 9-11-2001. Had many orthopedic as well as internal injuries and a brain shear. The only side effects to the brainshear is I can now draw amazingly well and when I'm really tired I slur my speech. I am working on a book about the whole thing and how I got there. My passion is my kids, reading, art, and WOW. Ya, I'm not a geeky gamer, lol. I don't mind questions so ask away.

sorry your nervous, i am right there with you. i am about to have gastric bypass surgery. since i just came out of my coma i am nervous. there is only one thing in my life i can depend on and that is Jesus Christ. he will get you through. remember you are not alone. try to have a happy valentines day, it might be hard, but do something to spoil yourself and get your mind on something that you enjoy. i will pray for you.

Hi. I feel and understand what divorce is like. Beleive me, the children bear more hurt than the adults do. I saw it when my ex divorced the first time and I saw it in the same eyes, only at the age of 18 the second time with me. If you need any help or just someone to talk to, I am here for you. I had a peekapoo when I was a kid. they are tough little dogs. He was a great watch dog to. He would let you know if someone was near the house. Give you plenty of warning.

I was in a coma 2 months following a car accident where a man hit me and my kids head on going 95 mph. I woke on 9-11-2001 only to slip back in for 2 weeks. I would like to think that I could offer some insight from a coma patients perspective and mind.
Treatments
- Surgery Working / Worked
- I guess Im not sure how to answer this since obviously Im no longer in a coma. My expieriance while being comatose was a mostly frightening one. The dreams were like a movie projector through my mind and one bled into the next. I could hear people and that was the only thing that would save me from the dreams. if you have questions please ask.
Close Kidney Stones
I have been wheelchair bound since 2001 from a car wreck. Although I am hoping to walk and this is a very good possibility for now I am in the chair. Since 2004 I have developed kidney stones and have had neuphrostomy tubes, stents and removals. Yet they return...

Open Accidents
In 2001 me and my 3 children were hit by a man that had narcolepsy and feel asleep at the wheel. He his us head on going 95mph. It destroyed my world as I know it and I am still going through surgeries and therapy. Sometimes I just need someone to talk to that would understand.
Treatments
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- still in therapy to learn how to walk again. Had both knees replaced by my left leg is still messed up. Had a brace made and it needs to be adjusted only I just got sick and have to go back into the hospital in a couple weeks for another surgery.
- Surgery, Hand Somewhat Helpful
- One of my injuries was a severed radial nerver which controls your wrist going up and down and your fingers opening and closing. I had a muscle/tendon transfer and got probably 50% movement back.

- Caffeine Somewhat Helpful

- usually works if I catch the headache in the beginning.
- Fioricet Working / Worked
- This worked but I got a new Dr and she took me off of it. Nice huh?
- Imitrex Not Working
- horrible rebound headaches with this
- Relpax Not Working
- horrible rebound headaches with this too.
- Topamax Not Working
- rebound headaches
- Tylenol Not Working
- Ha, its like eating candy.
Open Marijuana Addiction & Recovery
My 19 yr old son started smoking (among other things) when he was 16. He is 19 now and smokes chronically. I don't know... I don't know what else to write. I suppose I will delve into more in posts.
