Close Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)
I am a female, 56 years old and today I was diagnosed with Atrial fibrialltion. I suffer from panic attacks and have always been a very anxious person. I have been terrified of heart trouble all of my life and with this diagnosis I feel so frightened that I don't know how to handle it. I was given Tenormin and told to take 81mg of aspirin a day. I wore a monitor for 30 days which caught the attacks. I am so scared and need some encouragement. I am so scared.
Close Panic Attacks
I have had panic attacks for 36 years. I have had years that I thought that perhaps I was on my way to being okay, but as of late they are back as bad as ever. I am now afraid to drive alone and that has created a real problem for me. I used to love to drive, but I had a horrible panic attack while driving 2 summers ago and now I am afraid to drive too far from home. I avoid the interstate or places that I know I can't get locked into traffic.
