My wife left me for 8 days after the "A" she visted a friend in Denton,TX. They had a support group there that she joined while she was there.

Close Infidelity
I had an emotional affair with a woman from my past. My wife found out. NC since 05-2008. My wife has forgiven me and we are recovering.
Treatments
- Couples Counseling Working / Worked
- Counseling helped during the first few months. We haven't been back for a while. We will probably need it again sometime.
- Forgiveness Working / Worked
- My wife has forgiven me. I consider it the greatest gift of love that she ever could have offered. More than anything, it has helped us to heal.
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- Losing a little excess weight has made me feel better about myself which has helped me with some of the depression issues I had before the EA.
Close Healthy Sex
My wife has had little to no sex drive for over eight years, largely due to medical issues. We have brief (5 min) sex about once a month. It's not enough.
Treatments
- Patience Not Working
- I've tried just dealing with it and I'm miserable. I don't want to go the rest of my life having sex less than once a month with someone who doesn't really want to.
- Psychotherapy Too Soon to Tell
- The counseling has been primarily for the EA not for the sexual issues that predated it.
