Hi everyone,
OK, let me get the not so great stuff out of the way first. Anaysa set up another fever and appears to still have some sort of infection, but we still can't pinpoint it. SOmehow, her eardrum also burst (which isn't unheard of but not the best scenario) so she has puss that comes out of her ear ALL the time. We've started her on a new antibiotic and hope that she responds to this one better than the ammoxicilion (sp?) that appears to not be clearing up the infection.
OK, now that's out of the way. We are LOVING parenthood! We just came from visiting my mom this weekend (in ATL for her birthday) and had a great time. My little pumpkin is 4 months old now and a pure joy! She smiles ALL the time and has just started to giggle periodically. She rolled over once, but me and her daddy caused such a scene that it made her cry and I think she's afraid to do it again (smile). We were SO excited. She's still a little under weight because she lost weight on her last hospital stay, but she's growing and doing good. Already eating 5oz with every feeding. We got her one of those bumbo things that helps her to sit up and she likes to play in it, but she's definitely not sitting up on her own yet.
We're just having so much fun and ENJOYING it! I have a doctor appointment today with my super OB/GYN and I'm going to talk to him about getting pregnant with number two. I'm wanting to breast feed until Anaysa is 1 so I'm not sure if I'll be able to take the medication that we needed the last time...I can't imagaine that's good for her breastmilk and I also got a little sick on it the last time so my eating habits weren't the best (which also isn't so good for her breast milk)...anyway....we'll talk about the options becuse I'd love it my kids were close in age.
Anyway, just having a great time and loving my life. I thank God for these undeserved blessings every day because on top of it all, my husband is an aboslute gem and is the perfect hands on daddy that I alwasy dreamed my children would have. I just told him, yesterday, that he's the best decision I've ever made and it's SO true! SIGH, I'm content and living in bliss.

So,
As I said in my last entry. I was supposed to start back to work on Monday, 10/26. Well, Anaysa and I were both sick so we stayed home Monday and Tuesday. I went to work on Wednesday, but that night Anaysa's fever got so high that I didn't feel comfortable taking her to day care. I worked from home on Thursday and that was the plan for Friday too. Well, her fever was still high (even after tylenol) on Friday so I took her to the doctor and they ordered blood work. We went home but within the hour they called us back and told us the labwork looked odd and to go to our local ER to have the blood re-drawn. They did and the lab work showed extremely high white blood cell counts. This had everyone very worried and we were instantly checked into the hospital for futher testing.
At this point, Anaysa's fever was closing in on 104 and she wasn't eating, peeing, pooping...or really doing anything. She went from my amazingly happy baby to a lethargic baby that was sleeping about 20 hours a day (fitfully off/on so it was tiring for all involved!). Anyway, we checked into the hospital and they determined that a bacterial infection was causing the issue but they couldn't pin point where the infection was. They started her on antibiotics and this made her symptoms go away, but they still don't know the cuase of the infection. We were in the hospital Friday-Tuesday and they sent us home with 8 days worth of medication. After the medicine gets out of her system she's going back to the doctor for lab work. We're praying that that comes back clean.
On the happy side, she had a nuerology (sp?) appt. yesterday and that went great! We're still confused as to why she had the siezures, but it's been determined that they were "one time" events and shouldn't happen again. She's hitting all her milestones and is showing up negative for epilepsy (sp?!)!!! Yay!!
Anyway, she seems to be doing great now. I just hope it keeps up after she gets off the medicine. We're having so much fun with her and I really do enjoy being a mommy. It's so much fun! Now we just have to decide if we're going for number two :-)

Hi Everyone!!!
So, it's been way too long since I've written...just busy being a mommy and enjoying EVERY MINUTE!!!
Well, I go back to work on Monday and it's been an amazing FOUR months since I've been at work. People always say that my maternity time would fly by...but...uh...NO IT DIDN'T!! I feel like I've been out of work for YEARS and I'm totally ready to go back...am I a bad mommy?! I mean, I love my girl and our time together but I miss my job too. I love it and I'm darn good at it so I'm excited to get back to it. We've found a daycare really close to the house and we've gone up and sat in the room a few times to get Anaysa aclimated (sp?) with her teachers.
One downside is that we are both sick right now :(. We're running fevers of 102+ over but she's on baby tylenol and I'm on grown up tylenol so we'll kick this! If she's not better by Monday I'm TOTALLY going to take a sick day on my first day back. i mean, baby comes first and the sooner my job understands that the better for all involved!
Anyway, she has an appt. with her nuerologist on 11/4, but there have been no more siezures or hospital stays so we're hopeful that the scares are behind us. Thanks for following our journey.
I mean...seriously, I've been communicating with some of you all since I was getting BFNs ever week, and now look at me with a wee bay-bay! God is amazing, but the key is that His plan comes with His timing so for those of you still on your journey...stay strong. i know they're just words but I REMEMBER when someone was saying these words to me and I hated them...but it was true! My DS family is the best!
