About Me
I have a beautiful 20 year old daughter who fortunately didn't witness much of my drinking until the last few years, she grew up with her father & step mother. We now have a great relationship that I treasure. I love to laugh, but I'm very tenderhearted & will cry easily if something touches my heart. I'm big on empathy & can't stand for someone I love to hurt. After 16 years of drinking daily, I realized I had a problem. I entered a detox facility in February of 08. I didn't drink for about 2 months afterwards & then started drinking socially and before I knew it, I was right back where I started...only worse. NOW I'VE GOT IT AND WILL FIGHT TO KEEP IT FOREVER!!

Interests
I love to laugh, read, cook, write, lay on a float in any body of water (except swamp I guess...alligators ya know) & I love rain. I love fresh clean sheets, sleeping in and white bread! ha! I mean Sunbeam, stick to the roof of your mouth white bread, we're a dying breed...and I am fortunate enough to love my job!

I don't know how to do this! :( **I was told I should change this, which is what I wrote the day I joined DS, but I don't want to remove it cause it's a reminder of where I was and where I never want to return..I am now DOIN THIS THANG!!**

- I attend meetings at least 4 times a week & leave feeling so inspired..gives me HOPE!
- Detox Working / Worked
- Seeing as how I knew nothing of alcoholism upon entering a detox facility, this was what got the ball rolling on my recovery.
- Sleep Working / Worked
- OMG! I'm sleeping so good sober, it's almost orgasmic! lol! I didn't sleep for years cause of booze..another incentive to keep me sober! LOVE IT!
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- Helped me to sleep for those first couple of months.
- Willpower Not Working
- hahahahahaha!!!!!
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- My entire family and all friends know and are extremely supportive. Their love and support means so much to me I now realize that I am truly blessed.
