ONE perfect baby!!!! We went in today for my first ultrasound. I had my troops with me, Chris, my mom, Chris' mom, Christin and Ellie!. They all crowed in together while I laid on the table. Then we got the speech that the 6 weeks ultrasound is where they are checking just to make sure the baby is growing in the uterus and that there was only a 50% chance of seeing the heartbeat.....
Well as soon as we saw the screen there was our baby and that beautiful heartbeat pumping away!!! It is measuring 2 days ahead so even better! By 7 weeks the heart rate needs to be at least 100 and I'm 6 weeks and 2 days and the heart rate was already 107!!!!
Happy tears rolled down my cheek as I laid there looking at my healthy baby growing inside my tummy, we have waited along time to see that. We are so thrilled it is just one baby. We would have loved twins just has much but I think there was a sigh in the room once we only saw one baby. Now we get to spoil this lil munchkin and give it all the attention it so deserves. Chris and I will NOT being finding out the sex so we will all have to wait and see in February.
I will go back in 2 weeks to check the progress and get another ultrasound. I am starting to let it sink in that in 8 months I will finally be holding my baby in my arms, words can't explain the feeling in my heart....
