  Hi Lisa: Sorry it took me so long to respond - I rarely check this website. I also belong to CMLHope with yahoo groups. I just went to the doc yesterday and they have to take me off the Gleevec due to severe side effects (I believe I was not metabolizing it fast enough and it built up to toxic levels). So, I will no longer be in the clinical trial and they are going to put me on Sprycel. I hope that works just as well as I had reached complete molecular response (yippeee!). The Gleevec worked very well for me, but, the side effects became too much (vision disturbances, memory loss and headaches). I found out that hematologically - I was in complete remission after the first month of therapy (they thought my lab was wrong - but, they weren't). Take Care! Kelly
